Running gear I love
Updated: Dec 12, 2020
I will confess, I always wanted to play around with affiliate links and see how this works. I totally know that I won't make any money on it, but I felt I can satisfy my intellectual curiosity by trying it out and sharing here a few things that I recently bought that are absolute game-changers for me.
The most important item I bought in 2020 is my AfterShokz Aeropex. I struggled for years to get the perfect Bluetooth headset that pairs nicely with my Pixel 4, even the new Pixel Buds 2 didn't do the trick. The Aftershokz though just perform flawlessly. The key selling point is that they are bone conduction headphones, meaning they sit NEXT to my ear, not covering it, which means I can hear my environment which is handy IMO for every type of run. Is the sound quality amazing? No, it is decent, but there are better headphones if that is the priority. But for runners that like to not be completely detached from the real-world and at the same time like decent sound quality, that might be a good fit. I just love them.
The second item I can't live without anymore (and then I leave you alone with my affiliate experiment!) is this simple Shiatsu Back and Neck Massager by Naipo. Just check the reviews, it truly delivers after a hard run getting your tissues loose. I am not seeing currently any massage therapist, due to Covid and not wanting to be indoors, so this is the perfect remedy for times like these, and likely later as well.
